- Wait, Jack went dark!? Gasp!
- A terrorist leader negotiating directly with the President. Yeah, that’d happen.
- Jack sure picked up one hell of a handy cell phone from that random car he, uh... jacked. GPS system, three-way calling…
- I just realized Morris is the Russian mob boss from The Boondock Saints. And by “realized” I mean saw on IMDB.
- The terrorist guy totally went into storage container #24. Hee hee.
- I’m already bored with the ACHHHmed subplot. Someone kill him.
- “Get me Jack Bauer. Immediately.” At least Wayne’s smart enough to do that.
- So the nuke’s with Fayed, I guess the White House is safe. LA, prolly not so much.
- I like how the Mom getting into an SUV gets a guitar riff.
- Milo and Chloe? That makes three CTU co-workers Chloe’s dated in the past year and a half. Not bad for someone with negative social skills.
- You know, Jack’s left hand seems to be healing rapidly. Or maybe it was his right that was all effed up.
- I’m also very very bored with the Sandra Palmer subplot. More Jack, less annoying lawyers.
- Yes! Shoot ACHHHHmed! Death to bad acting!
- Ohhh crap, Curtis is pissed. (Pause) Nooooo!!! Black Jack down, Black Jack down!!! Poor guy, I’ll miss him. At least ACHHHmed died too.
- Umm, is Jack gonna shoot himself? It would be kind of the only way Jack could die (or at least stay dead) …
- Yep, that’s a mushroom cloud. I think that juuuust might get Jack back in the fighting mood.

Yeah, I'm kinda annoyed that we start the season negotiating with terrorists. I thought that was a no-no.
Ya gotta love ACCCCHmed. I thought the actor would only sign up for a more sympathetic role, but I guess if you go on 24, you do what you're told. Samwise was only in a few episodes, so I guess that's the equivalent of a cameo.
Chole = playah!
The messy hand does still appear messy in close-ups, but yeah it seems to be fully operational.
I'll miss Curtis. My friend here disagrees, but he's a punk.
Overall, a very good start. It's too bad we had to lose a big character, but that happens a lot at the beginning of seasons. I also don't like Wayne Palmer as President. Seriously, who would vote for a former President's brother who's never held elected office?
I think Wayne getting elected is fairly believable. After what Logan did, I could understand the country wanting someone they could trust. David Palmer's brother and chief of staff fits that role.
Democrats... go figure...
