dude, stop that. i feel like your insulting my red sox allegiance. i never consider rooting against the red sox, ever.
yes, he's my all-time favorite baseball player and the biggest reason i became a sox fan. but i've never placed trot's interests over the team's. i supported platooning him with a righty, and i supported the decision to let trot go after last season. and i will support boston when they face trot, no matter how strange is feels.
during that 11th inning i admit i hated having to hope that trot got out, but that's what i did because that's what i had to do. i don't really consider it a "choice" to pull for boston in that situation. boston's my team. period.
(now if tim duncan ever left the spurs...)
Fair enough. I dunno why you should support the second-highest payroll team over your North Carolina brother. But your call.
