YES!!! Definitely one of my favorite SNL moments. Gets me every time...

Why can't other storms have fun names? 'Gordon' is pretty lame, but 'El Nino' is so much more terrifying. Why not 'Godzilla' or 'Gor-tron' or something like that? Or 'Gooden'?

El Nino is a recurring weather condition. Gordon is the name of a single hurricane. It's not like "oh, we've got a class four Gordon".

Plus Gordon is the name of the main character in Half-Life, and he saves the world every week (kinda like Jack Bauer but more dependent upon your keyboard-mashing abilities).
